Climate Crisis

Climate Crisis
This is not a dooomsday website. This is not propaganda. This site is meant to spread awareness of our current global climate crisis in a fun and edgy way.
Big Oil

Big oil companies have long been accused of conducting research that downplays the effects of climate change and the role that fossil fuels play in it. A recent investigation by The Guardian revealed that ExxonMobil knew about the dangers of climate change as far back as the 1970s, but chose to fund climate denial instead. Other oil companies, including BP and Shell, have also been found to fund research that casts doubt on the severity of climate change.

Propaganda

There has been a concerted effort by some groups to spread misinformation about the causes and effects of climate change. This propaganda often seeks to cast doubt on the scientific consensus and discourage action on climate change. It is important to be aware of these efforts and to seek out accurate information from reputable sources.

Republican Party

The Republican Party has been largely resistant to taking action on climate change, with many members denying the scientific consensus on the issue. However, there are some Republicans who support action on climate change and have proposed solutions such as a carbon tax or investment in renewable energy.

Green Energy

Green energy, including wind, solar, and hydroelectric power, is a viable alternative to fossil fuels. These sources of energy are renewable, produce little to no greenhouse gas emissions, and are becoming increasingly cost-competitive with traditional sources of energy. Investing in green energy is an important step towards mitigating the effects of climate change.

Other Viable Solutions

In addition to green energy, there are a number of other viable solutions to the climate crisis. These include:

  • Vote! Your opinion matters and if everyone votes, those with bad intentions are less likely to succeed!
  • Energy efficiency measures, such as improved insulation and more efficient appliances, which can reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Sustainable agriculture practices, such as crop rotation and reduced tillage, which can sequester carbon in the soil and reduce emissions from fertilizer use.
  • Public transportation and active transportation options, such as biking and walking, which can reduce reliance on cars and reduce emissions from transportation.
  • Carbon capture and storage technologies, which can capture carbon dioxide emissions from power plants and other sources and store them underground.

By implementing a range of solutions, we can work towards a more sustainable future and mitigate the effects of climate change.
